About the trainer
Beverly Lassiter specializes in resolving separation anxiety and separation-related issues for dogs and their humans. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer–Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) as well as a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT). Through her business, Head Over Heels, Bev offers compassionate, evidence-based training and support for people living with dogs who struggle to be left alone.

Bev is that rare dog trainer who finds working with both dogs and humans equally rewarding. She’s always seeking creative, sustainable solutions to help her clients—on both ends of the leash—feel secure, confident, and connected, whether they’re together or apart. She participates in weekly case consultations with fellow CSATs, engages in ongoing continuing education on separation-related behaviors and positive reinforcement methods, and attends professional development seminars annually.
Bev lives with her dogs, Tango and Cricket, who proudly hold titles in Canine Good Citizen, Barn Hunt, Scent Work, and Trick Dog.
